medical cannabis in illinois

On August 1, 2013, the Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Pilot Program Act was signed into Illinois law and went into effect on January 1, 2014. Below are links to official Illinois resources, including the list of qualifying conditions as defined by the Illinois Department of Public Health.

You shouldn’t let any physical or mental condition keep you from living life to the fullest. If you suffer from one or more of the qualifying conditions, the next step is to see a medical doctor who will diagnose your condition, and sign off on your paperwork. A qualified medical doctor who is guaranteed to serve your specific needs is bound to have a positive influence on your life. Recent studies have shed light on the therapeutic value medical marijuana possesses, making it a widely supported subject nationwide. Medical cannabis is proven to help with a variety of conditions, and has helped countless people get back to living their best life. The symptoms associated with conditions such as multiple sclerosis, arthritis, epilepsy, and cancer can all be diminished when treated with medical marijuana. After you’ve seen a doctor who evaluates your specific condition, you’ll then need to apply for your Medical Cannabis Patient Registry Card at the link to the right. Then, you’ll be well on your way towards receiving medical marijuana that will help you heal.
