Meet our expert staff
Paul Nowacki Assistant General Manager
Paul Nowacki is an integral member of the management team at Elevele. A native of Northbrook, Illinois, Paul’s interest in the medical marijuana industry began after taking a pharmacology course in college where he learned the in-depth medicinal benefits of marijuana and its numerous cannabinoids. After earning his psychology degree from the University of Iowa, Paul served as a top manager for the marketing department of an international liquor importer, followed by four years in the healthcare industry. During this time, his passion for medical marijuana drove him to begin researching on his own. He traveled between Illinois and Colorado over the next several years to learn as many aspects of the marijuana industry as possible. This experience allowed him opportunities for hands-on learning about cultivation, producing extracts and edibles, and developing exceptional product knowledge with a focus on quality. Paul’s vast, in-depth knowledge of different cannabis strains and consumption methods provides patients at Elevele with an exceptional level of care that addresses both their medical and emotional concerns. Paul currently resides in Highland Park, Illinois and in his free time enjoys exercise, fishing, home renovation projects, and traveling with his wife Amber.
Victoria Korchagin Patient Care Representative
As one of Elevele’s compassionate Patient Care Representatives, Victoria strives to help patients find alternative solutions in order to live happier, healthier, and more fulfilling lives. She has a background in both finance and corporate sales and brings years of service and customer care experience to Elevele. Her true passion, however, lies in helping others heal using various customizable mind/body techniques. It’s this passion that drove her to pursue her education in medical cannabis at the Cannabis Training University, which helped her reverse her own views on the stigma associated with this plant. She is now an active advocate of medicinal cannabis, using her knowledge and experience to educate others.
Victoria has been assisting prospective patients by helping them with the registration process in Illinois. She has been actively engaged in public outreach events (i.e., trade shows, networking, and social events; IL Women in Cannabis; and Women Grow seminars, etc.) to stay connected with the local community and to help bring awareness to those seeking alternative solutions for their maladies. She has also met one-on-one with doctors and wellness clinics in the area to educate them about the Illinois Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Pilot Program and the benefits of medicinal cannabis. Additionally, she helps spread awareness and inform the public by managing Elevele’s social media posts on a daily basis.
In her free time, Victoria is a world traveler, and constantly seeks to fill her life with exciting new experiences and hobbies. She continually pursues her education in holistic alternative medicine, and frequently offers hands-on energy healing therapies, such as Reiki, to both people and animals. When she’s not healing or traveling, she is ardently pursuing her lifelong passion for self-expression through the art of dance.
Elizabeth Justus Patient Care Representative
As a botanist and a caregiver, Elizabeth has a deep appreciation for the healing capacity of cannabis. She has dedicated her education and career to the pursuit of furthering botanical science and believes it is critically important to preserve and nurture plant species that benefit the human condition. Elizabeth entered the industry looking for an opportunity to contribute her skills to aid those in need and promote awareness and acceptance of medical cannabis use. She graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor’s degree in Plant Science and is working on a Master’s degree in Crop Science through the University of Illinois. At NIU she conducted research with an emphasis in plant ecology and multitrophic interactions. Her current academic focus is sustainable crop production. Before joining the Elevele family, Elizabeth worked as an agricultural research scientist in DeKalb, Illinois. She enjoys reading, gardening, hiking, and camping in her free time.
Annie Shepherd Patient Care Representative
As a Patient Care Representative – and a patient herself at Elevele – Annie strives to help fellow patients understand the vast medicinal benefits of cannabis and successfully find alternative means of relief. She attended the College of Lake County and University of Louisville with focuses in Sales, Business Marketing, and Equine Administration. When she joined the Elevele team in 2017, she was committed to helping others navigate the wide variety of products and intake methods to find successful relief for their symptoms.
After finding relief herself with the medical cannabis pilot program, Annie became an active member on several social media platforms. She began sharing her own experiences and showcasing the medicinal products that are available in Illinois, with the mission to change the image and stigma that is associated with cannabis. She regularly attends community outreach events to continue spreading awareness and connect with fellow patients in the program. Through social media, she is able to resolve common issues and complaints, inform others on the various consumption methods, and relay tips and tricks for a healthier medication process. In addition to her role as a Patient Care Representative, she is also currently managing Elevele’s social media.
Heather Roman Patient Care Representative
Heather grew up in Buffalo Grove and currently resides in Vernon Hills with her husband and two children. She continued her education at The College of Lake County, earning her Phlebotomy and Medical Assistant Certificates. Heather takes pride in being able to help people in any way she can. After a terrible fall, Heather was diagnosed with Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome. Her doctors treated her with large amounts of opioids, and she struggled with the efficacy of that treatment. She searched for an alternate course, and found medical cannabis was an effective way to manage her disease. When Heather realized how medical cannabis helped her with pain, anxiety, and so much more, she made it a mission to become more educated, spread the word, and help stop the stigma! Heather is an active member of an organization called Illinois Woman in Cannabis, which holds many outreach programs to educate the community.
